ABOUT US
The Women and Home Foundation missionaries of providence, are a group of lay people who have been trained through the Social work of the Women and Home Foundation, a non-profit institution, which has sup orted the vulnerable population for more than 17 years, through programs and projects that dignify the human being using the execution of these with a Biopsychosociolaboral approach, that is a typical method of the institution that allows the reconstruction of the damaged social fabric to the most needy, offering the following services:
Community home, Temporary home, Occupational and productive workshops, housing improvement and basic sanitation.
In 2016, the Women and Home Foundation headed by our founder Dr. Omaira Buitrago built an oratory at headquarter number 1 of the institution in thanksgiving for the physical recovery of her son, from that moment a group of Prayers calls “Queen of Peace” is made and now days these brothers and sisters strengthen and allow the growth in faith and works of the Women and Home Foundation. Our institution in search of strengthening this union and convinced that the Prayer and service is surrender, it is blessed in 2017 to meet the congregation of the Providence sisters and the immaculate conception, founded by Blessed Juan Martin Moye in the year 1762. In Colombia it is directed by Mother Liliam Serna
MISSION
This congregation after knowing our social and missionary work stars welcoming and supporting us at headquarter three of the Women and Home Foundation located in the Ranchería La Playa of the Alta Guajira, with evangelization activities to the Wayuu indigenous community and training to the missionaries of the foundation calling us “Missionaries Foundation Woman and Home providence” which seeks under the charism of providence, strengthen the spiritual and human needs of being.
As a Christian Catholic missionary group convinced that Divine Providence accompanies us, we work under the motto “prayer and service is surrender”; reaching the neediest populations of spiritual nourishment and support for basic needs.
We spread our love and gift of service with the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, the intersection of the Virgin Mary and all the Little Angels in the needs of the entire world.
VISION
We will be recognized as a spiritual and service model with providential charism through Catholic – Christian principles, and proactive, innovative and motivating actions that allow the integral human and spiritual development of being.
OVERALL OBJECTIVE
Work for the neediest supported by divine providence, in order to improve the quality of life of the neediest, strengthening the spiritual and human needs through the evangelization and the physical, psychological and social integration of the being.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
- Develop evangelization activities to vulnerable populations favored by Women and Home Foundation and community in general, by studying the word and practice of sacramental life.
- Develop missionary social projects based on respect and culture with harmonization of the Christian – Catholic faith.
- To continually form missionaries in the providence charism and also prayers through pastoral and community activities that strengthen the spirit of the missionary.
